Modern company operation with experience
1974 was not only the year when ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest. It is also the year when Olle and Solweig Fransson bought Gnosjö Automatsvarvning. The company had turned metal components since 1947.
On the same day that Olle signed for the purchase, Solweig was in hospital and their first daughter, Linda, was born. Today, Linda has taken over as managing director after Solweig, and her sister Anna Sandberg is responsible for materials and production management. But Solweig and Olle are still very active in the company. Four decades of experience in combination with modern company operation are major factors in the success of Gnosjö Automatsvarvning.
The company now has 50 employees. With unique skills in turning complex parts in large series with demands on the highest precision, we have customers in a variety of areas such as the vehicle and engineering industry, industrial regulation systems, fasteners and interior design. About 50 % of our turnover comes from exports, mainly to England, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary and the United States.
After almost four decades since the company was purchased in 1974 you can say that we have rigorously followed the business concept: Through our unique problem-solving
skills and using modern, advanced equipment, we shall fulfil customers’ needs for complex turned parts.
